Black Iron Releases Additional Iron Ore Assays from Shymanivske Project

Black Iron has announced further assay results from the company’s definition and exploration (DE) diamond drilling carried out at its Shymanivske iron ore project located in Ukraine.

Shymanevski Geology Map

The company receivedpositive infill drill results and continues to cut thick bands of iron in every hole with grades more than 30% iron. Hole BISH-5 specifically encountered iron ore, including more than 30% iron over 436 m, 32.3% iron over 141 m and 33.3% iron over 26 m.

BISH-5, BISH-6, and BISH-7 are the three holes drilled as a part of a 20,000 m DE program, began by Black Iron during October 2011. The DE program is specifically designed to revise the categorization of mineral resource that allows the calculation of a larger in pit mineral resource in the current Feasibility Study. This program will target the holes drilled in the property’s north end, where Black Iron may consider the occurrence of further mineral resource.

GeoResources based in Ukraine has been contracted by the company to carry out the drilling campaign. The company has contracted Mekhanobrchermet, a Research Institute of Mineral Processing in Ferrous Metals based in Ukraine, in order to finish an independent metallurgical test work over the recovered drill core.
