Compliance Energy Corporation ("Compliance" or the "Company) reports that the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office ("BC EAO") and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency ("CEAA") have issued the Application Information Requirements/Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines ("AIR/EISG") for the Raven Underground Coal Project.
The AIR/EISG, or terms of reference, specifies the information that must be contained in the Applications for an Environmental Assessment Certificate and Environmental Approval from the BC and Canadian governments respectively.
"We are pleased to have received the terms of reference for the environmental assessment of the Raven Project," stated John Tapics, President & CEO. "We have been gathering environmental baseline information on the project since mid 2009 and with this milestone now achieved we are free to complete our Environmental Assessment Applications. Submission of these Applications is expected before year end."
The Raven Underground Coal Mine Project is subject to a coordinated review under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Act. An electronic copy of the AIR/EISG and other information regarding the environmental assessment process is available at www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca and at www.eao.gov.bc.ca.
