Equitable Gas, a provider of reliable and safe natural gas service in Allegheny County and Pittsburgh, and local McDonald's restaurants have teamed up for the second time for the Fueling Your Day With Love Campaign.
Equitable Gas’ participation in the event is part of its commitment to promote the welfare of children in western Pennsylvania and the regions it serves. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh has received a check of $24,000 from Equitable Gas, and this amount exceeds by $7,000 from last year’s donation. Renda Broadcasting supported the Fueling Your Day With Love Campaign, which was conducted between March 19 and April 30, 2012. For the event, Equitable Gas promised to donate 2 ¢ for the sale of each cup of Premium Roast Drip Coffee at all neighborhood McDonald's restaurants at this time period.
Professional hockey player, Matt Cooke, who showed interest to serve as the spokesman for this event, collected the check for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh. Although, the local McDonald's restaurants in western Pennsylvania were just short of achieving the campaign goal of selling 1.2 million cups, Equitable Gas bigheartedly agreed to donate the full amount to the Charity.
According to Equitable Gas’ President, Bill Lucas, the company is committed to enhance the welfare of children and supporting families all across its service area in Kentucky, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, and the campaign helped the company to serve this purpose.
