Superior Mining Releases Geological and Technical Report on Mangalisa Project

Superior Mining has announced that it has released the technical and geological report on its Mangalisa gold uranium project, which is located in the Free State Goldfield in the Witwaterrand Basin in South Africa.

The project is fully owned by Superior Mining and is located at a distance of 10 km north of the Masimong Gold Mine which is operated by Harmony Gold.

The report was prepared by Ingram Consulting provides a detailed account of the exploration history and geology of the Mangalisa project and also provides details of the activities carried out during two drilling campaigns in 2009 and 2010. The report also suggests further actions that could be taken in the future. Superior’s target for the exploration program is the Central Rand Group sediments and the late Archaen that feature conglomerate reefs containing gold and uranium. The first drilling at the Mangalisa property encountered a Witwatersrand reef at a shallow depth of 780 m beneath the surface. The second drilling established the continuity of the reef and the presence of gold and uranium at the property.

The report has stated that Superior Mining has made a significant discovery and also indicates the possibility of a Target-type Eldorado fan deposit in the property. It also states that further drilling is justified based on which the company intends to carry out drilling processes very soon. A follow up drill program of holes that are spaced closely would be required to estimate resources and provide greater confidence in the data.
