Belo Sun Mining has reported that the company has reported results from the reverse circulation (RC) drill campaign carried out at the Gréia target, which is located at the Volta Grande gold project in Brazil.
These results integrate 48 RC drill holes, corresponding to drilling of 9,529 m. The location of the Gréia target is around 800 m towards the Ouro Verde deposit’s eastern part and directly towards the Grota Seca deposit’s northern part. The company examined an area of 1 x 1 km along with many gold soil geochemical anomalies, with the help of a drill grid of approximately 200 x 100 m spacing.
The company intercepted considerable gold mineralization in numerous holes and encountered 1.16 g/t gold over 19 m in hole VVGR-001, 1.13 g/t gold over 12 m and 1.74 g/t gold over 12 m in hole VVGR-019 and 1.55 g/t gold over 12 m in hole VVGR-025.
These drilling results may show a new significant zone mineralization with potential to additionally expand the mineral resource estimate of the Volta Grande project. The company has planned to validate and extend the freshly discovered mineralization, through the systematic delineation diamond drill campaign.
The company has integrated the results from holes VVGR-001, VVGR-019, VVGR-021 and VVGR-042 drilled in the Gréia target’s southern part into the 3D block model of Grota Seca deposit that was utilized in the April 2012 mineral resource calculation.
