Blackham Resources Discovers Exploration Target at Williamson Area

Blackham Resources has reported it has discovered an exploration target area and encountered 2 to 6 g/t gold through geological analysis carried out at the Williamson region.

The company has outlined the exploration target over the Prior and Carroll prospects and below the current Williamson and Williamson South Resources. The exploration target shows possible endowment of gold along with the calculated combined resources of 364,000 oz at Williamson.

The exploration target has been outlined in order to show the scale and possible size of gold endowment at the Williamson. The company has drilled more than 1,000 holes in this region and discovered the Williamson Mine and its related mineralised structures. It has identified almost 6 Moz gold in the adjacent Wiluna Mine together with 4 Moz below a depth of 100 m. Gold mineralisation stays exposed 1 km below the surface.

Parameters required to determine the exploration target are:

  • Strike of prominent structures of mineralization
  • The extent and strike of current resources
  • Results of the exploration program
  • The nature of the Wiluna Mine mineralisation

Possible grade and quantity have been included in the exploration target, which is conceptual in nature. Inadequate exploration has been carried out to outline these mineral resources. The company is continuing geological analysis of all prospects, with an aim to outline drill targets in order to examine the mineralisation expansions.

An extensive potential endowment found at these prospects shows the possibility for primary or shallow oxide mineralization and the limited drilling level.
