Forte Energy Receives RC Assay Results from Bohoduo Project

Forte Energy has reported that it has obtained assay results of the reverse circulation (RC) drill program that was completed at the Bohoduo project in Guinea.

Bohoduo RC drill hole locations

The Bohoduo project is located about 70 km towards the northeastern part of Firawa and includes two licences. Anomalous uranium regions have been discovered over 20 km of strike. The company has carried out a preliminary drill program, including drilling of 15 RC holes, during May 2008. This program focused on uranium anomaly, whose length is 700 m, towards east of the Bohoduo project. Eight drill holes validated mineralisation from the surface down to almost 100 m.

The company’s second drilling at the project included 1,277 m, totaling 17 holes, and also testing of the expansions towards west and east of the original drill program. Seven holes specifically cut mineralisation from near to the surface down to more than 100 m, expanding the mineralized zone to over 2.3 km. The company has obtained all the results from the ALS Global laboratories located in South Africa and Monrovia.

Occurrence of copper and lesser amounts of other metals and hydrothermal alteration suggests mineralized uranium’s hydrothermal origin in the project. The company has observed secondary uranium minerals in drill-chips and on surface. Two drill programs have been carried out at the Bohoduo project. AMCO Drilling conducted the first program, which included 1,000 m totaling 15 RC holes, during May 2008. The drill target areas were concentrated on a uranium anomaly, whose length is 700 m. This anomaly was discovered by Davy McKee through ground studies and airborne geophysical data and analysis of combined ground works carried out by Forte.

The company sampled and delivered eight holes to Canada-based ALS Chemex laboratories for multi-element analysis.
