Golden Hope Mines, a mineral exploration firm, has reported that it has purchased 2,231 ha or 56 claims additionally on the northern expansion of the Bellechasse belt located in Southeast Quebec.
According to Golden Home Mines’ President, Frank Candido, the company is confident about the further base metal and gold prospects in the area, given that work finished through 2011 and 2012 has returned encouraging results. The company believes that the addition of these claims will extend the land position, resulting in additional discovery of base metal and gold on the belt that will balance the Champagne polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit and Bellechasse-Timmins gold deposit.
Out of the 56 claims purchased, 50 claims are situated in Talon Township, 3 in Rolette Township and other 3 in Panet Township.
At present, the company has 18,990 ha, totaling 459 claims in the southeastern parts of Quebec, Canada. It acquires, explores and expands the large-scale prospective base metal and gold projects that are perfect for open-pit or underground mining in order to improve the shareholder value. The claim blocks of the company are located in an area expanding about 100 km along the Appalachians of South Québec located adjacent Ste-Lucie-de-Beauregard to roughly 16 km to Southwest Beauceville.
The Bellechasse-Timmins deposit is located 5 km towards the southeastern part of St-Magloire in the Bellechasse Belt, which is about 18 km long mineralized region. It contains the 88 Diorite, the Ascot/Road, T1, T2A and T2B gold zones. Golden Hope is expecting to expand the Champagne zone, which is a partly mined gold and base metal deposit that is located in the Bellechasse Belt claims.
