Brookemont Capital (BKT) has announced the commencement of the work campaign in Yukon. Crews are expected to be on the project ground at the earliest. The work program for this season will extend on the multi-element anomalous region, which was exposed last season. Kinross Gold’s Golden Saddle Property is directly bordered by this prospect.
BKT recently started operations at the adjacent 7,600 ha, Aluminous Clay or Rare Earth prospect. This property borders the north-eastern part of Grand-Vallée deposit of Orbite Aluminae. The company’s preliminary work campaign will incorporate the compilation of about 1,000 soil samples at an interval of 50 m along gridlines, spaced 400 m, in order to assess the possibility of the existence of aluminous claystone in the prospect. Based on the soil sampling results, BKT plans to conduct diamond drill program on high priority anomalies.
According to BKT’s President, Conrad Clemiss, it is great that operations are being performed at the Yukon gold prospect and the Aluminous Clay rare earth prospect. The company is confident about the long and short term growth prospect, specifically in view of the shares trading, which is presently low.
At present, the company has the following projects:
- Land area in Northeast Quebec having potential for rare earth element;
- Quartz mineral claim area in Yukon that borders Underworld, which was acquired recently by Kinross Gold and directly over the Coffee discovery from Kaminak;
- About 16,500 adjacent acres prospective for rare earths or aluminous clay in Quebec’s Gaspe bay area, bordering Grand Vallée deposit;
- 63 sq. km of land area in Tanzania that is nearby Canaco Resources
