Laramide Resources has reported that a diamond core drill campaign has been started at the Westmoreland Uranium project, located in Queensland, Australia.
The company has planned to carry out the 4,000 m of preliminary drill program, totaling 25 holes, in order to examine exploration target areas along strike from the Junnagunna and Huarabagoo deposits. The larger campaign includes drilling of 30,000 m. The drill campaign will specifically target the high-potential structural corridor, which links the Junnagunna and Huarabagoo deposits.
The company’s former drilling has not focused on the 3 km strike located in between the two deposits. Previous exploration campaigns identified the main geological and structural controls of mineralization and resulted in targeting of mineralization at the Junnagunna deposit’s southern level. Laramide intersected 0.34% U3O8 over 13 m in drill hole JDD08-033.
Laramide will report the results once the assays become available and will provide additional details of the campaign in the near future.
According to the guidelines of the National Instrument 43-101 report, Mr. Peter Mullens, an associate of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, is the person qualified for the Westmoreland Uranium property. A quality control program has been deployed at the project in order to promote best practices.
Laramide explores and expands high-quality uranium assets. The company’s wholly-owned assets containing uranium are found in the United States and Australia. The advanced uranium project portfolio has been selected for the production. Laramide’s flagship Westmoreland uranium project is one of the main projects held by a junior mining firm.
