Woulfe Mining has reported assay results from samples related to the drill campaign carried out at the Sangdong tungsten mine. The company continues to drill in the underground sites at the Sangdong mine. The drilling results will be utilized to update the resource calculation.
This batch of assays includes 14 drill holes, in which 4 holes were specifically drilled from Sangdong Level, 3 holes from -1 Level, and 7 holes from ladder ways and raises between Sangdong and 1 Levels.
Majority of the holes were short holes, whose length range from 30 to 50 m, focusing on the Footwall zones between Taebaek level and 1 level. The Level holes of the Sangdong mine were drilled towards the ore body’s western end and were specifically designed to examine all three lodes. Three drill holes ended in Main Zone voids. Thin mineralization was encountered in the fourth hole drilled at the west extremity, in the Hangingwall and Main zones.
The company intersected 1.13% WO3 over 4.7 m in hole WSDD0119; and 1.02% WO3 over 5.5 m and 0.56% WO3 over 8.4 m in hole WSDD0121. The drill campaign is focusing on the mineralization that was not explored in the mine’s upper segment, above the present water level for feasibility reserve calculation and mine planning purposes.
The company re-estimated the resource for this mine section subsequent to the drilling of 90 holes during the present campaign. The resource beneath the valley floor is 34.519 Mt at 0.07% MoS2 and 0.47% WO3.
