BonTerra Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BTR) (FRANKFURT:9BR) announces the receipt of its drill permit for the Eastern Extension Property in the Urban-Barry Greenstone Belt of Quebec.
Bonterra commenced drilling on the Eastern Extension Property which is situated just east of BonTerra's Urban-Barry Property. The first hole on the Eastern Extension Property is BU-10-04. This drill hole targets gold zone 2 as defined by Xemac Resources in 1997. BonTerra's drill hole (BU-10-04) twins a historic drill hole (BL-97-16) with a high grade non NI 43-101 complaint gold intercept. This historical drill hole was drilled by Xemac Resources in 1997.
Thomas Clarke, Director, states, "Our first drill hole (BU-10-04) on the Eastern Extension property will be sited next to historic hole number BL-97-16 as this is a logical and compelling starting point to commence drilling. It is the goal of the Company to continue drilling non compliant high grade gold intercepts and make them compliant under NI 43-101."
BonTerra also continues its channel sampling program on gold zone 2 on the Eastern Extension Property. The channel sampling program is being used as a tool to define further drill targets on the property. The company also plans on continuing twinning historical non NI 43-101 compliant drill holes with the goal of bringing them up to compliance. Geologica Inc. of Val d'Or, Québec is responsible for overseeing the drill and channel sampling programs on behalf of the Company.
The Eastern Extension and Urban-Barry properties are located approximately 170 km NE of Val-d'Or and 125 km SW of Chibougamau in the Urban, Barry and Bailly townships in James Bay, Québec. Neighboring Companies in the region include Metanor, Amseco, Beaufield, Eagle Hill, Glen Eagle, Urbana and Freewest, Murgor and Noront.
