Habanero Resources Inc. ("Habanero" or the "Company") wishes to announce that the drill program on the Haldane Silver Prospect in the Keno Hill District of the Yukon has now commenced.
Jason Gigliotti, President of Habanero states, "We are happy to now be drilling again on the Haldane Silver prospect. It has been a year since our last drill program in the Yukon and with the current rise in silver prices, it is a great time to be back on the ground in one of the worlds most prolific silver producing districts."
Previous drilling in 2011 intersected mineralization characteristic of the Keno Hill Mining district, including galena-sphalerite-siderite mineralization and massive manganese-iron oxides, on several structures in drill holes up to 1,000 m apart. Previous drilling on the West Fault has intersected mineralization over 250 metres strike length and the current program will test this north-south structure at the intersection with east-west faults, a setting similar to the intersection of transverse and longitudinal faults that commonly hosts high grade mineralization in the Keno Hill mining camp
Habanero is a diversified junior company with the following prospects: the White Gold Prospect in the White Gold Region Yukon, bordering Kinross' Golden Saddle discovery; the Haldane Silver Prospect in the Keno Hill Silver Region of the Yukon bordering Alexco Resources Corp.'s Bellekeno property; the Lezai Multi-Element Prospect located approximately 100 km north of Chibougamau Quebec; and the Grande-Vallée North Aluminous Clay Prospect near Murdochville Quebec, bordering Orbite Aluminae Inc.'s deposit.
