Morien Finalizes LOI Terms for Off-Take Agreement from Donkin Coal Project

Morien Resources Corp. ("Morien" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce it has finalized the terms of a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) for a coal off-take agreement providing for the sale of production from the Donkin Coal Project (“Donkin Project” or “Project”) located in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Concurrently, Morien has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with an operating partner providing for the establishment of a Joint-Venture Agreement to develop and operate the Donkin Project.

Siemens Receives Order to Install Hoisting Machines in Yitai Group’s Coal Mine

The Chinese Yitai Group has awarded Siemens Drives Technologies an order in the double-digit million range to install two shaft hoisting machines in a new coal mine. The drives for the Hong Qing He project in Inner Mongolia will be the biggest hoists in the world to feature a motor integrated in the drum.

CONSOL Energy to Resume Operations at Blacksville No. 2 Mine Following Approval

CONSOL Energy Inc. today received approval from MSHA and state agencies of its plan to resume mining operations at the Blacksville No. 2 Mine, which was evacuated on March 12 when smoke was detected exiting the Orndoff shaft. CONSOL Energy expects full operations to begin with the morning shift on May 20.
