Alkane Resources Ltd is an ASX and OTCQX (US) listed multi-commodity mining and exploration company with a focus on gold, copper, zirconium, hafnium, niobium and rare earth elements – elements essential for a growing range of future industries and sustainable technologies. Our projects and operations are located in central-western NSW and eastern Australia, with gold investments in Western Australia.
Our most significant development is the Dubbo Project, which is based on a large in-ground resource of zirconium, hafnium, niobium and rare earth elements. Scheduled for construction during 2018-2019, the Dubbo Project is owned by Alkane subsidiary, Australian Strategic Materials (ASM). With many future industries (such as clean energy, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and modern health care) relying on zirconium, hafnium, niobium and/or rare earths as essential components, ASM’s Dubbo Project stands to become a strategic and significant world producer of these critical materials.
Alkane is also a gold producer through our wholly owned subsidiary, Tomingley Gold Operations (TGO), a medium-sized gold operation near Dubbo that commenced production in February 2014. Our Tomingley Gold Project consists of five exploration licenses, and we also have interests in several other copper-gold exploration projects in the region.
Complementing our mining activities, we are committed to environmental management and biodiversity improvement at all our sites. This is achieved through careful design, creation of biodiversity offset areas, progressive rehabilitation, monitoring and management actions.
In 2016 we established the Toongi Pastoral Company (TPC) to manage the extensive residual farmland, assets and biodiversity offset areas associated with the Dubbo Project (some 3000 hectares in total). Wholly owned by Alkane, TPC operates as a productive agricultural enterprise, producing sustainable and ethical mixed farming produce. We are proud to have invested in agriculture to demonstrate that mining, farming, land management and nature conservation can co-exist in harmony with the local community.
The wellbeing of our local communities is extremely important to us, and we strive to leave a positive legacy. We’ve been an active and contributing member of the Central Western NSW community for 25 years, supporting local education and training, employing local talent, engaging with community activities and preferring to purchase local products and services where possible.
Alkane is an investment opportunity for investors seeking exposure to an Australian company with Australian projects of international significance.
