Galore Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GRI) announces additional results for the systematic trenching program at El Álamo, located at the northern end of the Dos Santos property.
The El Álamo claim is located approximately 14 kilometres north from the recently completed 4,973-meter drill-program at La Palma.
The Company reports that additional analyses from 138 samples have been received from the El Álamo claim. This 100% owned claim was recently acquired through the Mexican government lottery system as detailed in the Company's news release dated September 27, 2010. Previous trenching results were reported in a news release dated December 8, 2010.
All samples are continuous channel samples taken across steeply dipping altered limestone beds. Prior to sampling, overburden and oxidized bedrock were removed to expose fresh rock. The best sample results from systematic trenching and sampling of the area are as follows:
Continuous channel samples were taken at 2-metre intervals over 70 metres. The remaining samples are anomalous in gold and gold pathfinder elements with gold ranging from 13 to 517 ppb gold.
All samples in this trench are anomalous in gold and gold pathfinder elements. Gold analyses in these samples range from 6.5 to 302 ppb gold over 2-metre intervals.
Samples were analyzed at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver by Aqua-Regia digestion and ICP-MS (1DX30) on a 30-gram sample. Sample results are reported in ppb gold. Analyses in this news release were converted to grams per tonne gold to provide a comparison to other gold projects using this format. All sample results reporting greater than 5,000 ppb gold will be reanalyzed by fire assay with gravimetric finish to confirm results.
Most of the remaining samples are anomalous in gold, arsenic, antimony, barium, mercury, and thallium. A detailed program of trenching, mapping and sampling continues on the El Álamo claim. Results will be announced when assays are received.
"We continue to be very encouraged by the gold analyses at El Álamo from our systematic channel samples. The ongoing mapping, trenching and sampling program will continue into the New Year to bring El Álamo to drill ready stage as soon as possible. In conjunction with the encouraging sample analyses, Galore is eagerly awaiting assays from our recently completed 4,973-metre HQ drill program at La Palma. This is an exciting time for the Company," says Michael Byrne, Galore's President.
