Lions Gate Metals has announced the result of the second drill hole, 11-PC-85 at the Poplar Project, which is 35km from Huckleberry Mine owned by Imperial Metals. The ongoing drill program is likely to reach around 5,000 meters.
The complete length of the hole is mineralized and remains are open to depth. The company intercepts from 22.00m to 459.34m and cuts 0.24% copper, 0.07g/t gold, 0.003% Molybdenum over 437.34m. It also intersects 0.34% copper, 0.10 g/t gold, 0.004% molybdenum over 277.06m and 0.39% copper, 0.12 g/t gold, 0.004% molybdenum over 147.88m. The Hole 11-PC-85 receives similar mineral grades at the collar area about 100m northeast of Hole PC-11-84.
The grade and geology is similar in intersection of 0.39% Copper and 0.12 g/t Gold over 147.88m and intersection of 0.41% Copper and 0.12 g/t Gold over 229.13m in Hole 11-PC-84. These intercepts propose that unrecognized higher grade mineralized zone may occur in Poplar Deposit. Additional drilling is necessary to describe this zone further.
Lions Gate will prepare and release the NI 43-101 report using highly encouraging results after the drilling completion. It is also supported to drill a high-grade potential zone in Poplar Deposit.
This second drill hole, 11-PC-85 confirms new significant mineralization but not yet drilled and not taken into the historic resource. These assay results will help in further drilling to describe new mineralization.
