Redhill Resources has completed geochemical soil sampling program at the MCarthys project and a trap stream sampling program at the Bangemall Cobra project.
The company has gathered 150 soils samples in total from the complete lease on a 200m by 50m net pattern at the McCarthy project. Soils were filtered through a 150mm sieve along with an 80 micron mesh and then collected into sample containers. Genalysis laboratory in Perth will test the samples for gold, copper, lead, zinc, nickel and arsenic.
A sum of 62 trap site stream sediment samples has been collected from the fine sample locations, where the stream has eroded dynamically into the Proterozoic rock layer at the Bangemall Cobra project. Every sample size is considered to be of 6 kilograms of minus 3/16 of an inch size. The same laboratory will also examine the transported samples for low level gold, copper, lead, zinc, nickel and arsenic.
The company is expecting to release the results of the program in the second quarter of 2011. It will discover the drilling targets using this data analysis for the subsequent phase of the planned exploration in spring.
