Crocodile Gold has encountered high-grade gold intersections continuously from the infill drilling program, which ends between the Prospect and Crosscourse notable open pits in the project area of Union Reef.
These drill holes targeted high-grade mineralized formations, which was discovered in 2010 and primarily drilled in February 2011. It is situated contiguous to the Union Reef's Mill.
The company has intersected 21.8 g/t Au over 2 metres including 11.2 g/t Au over 4 metres in hole URNRC41 and 30.5 g/t Au over 2 metres including 13.1 g/t Au over 5 metres in hole URNRC44.
The high-grade drilling results obtained from Union Reef's project area shows the potential of a new ore deposit. This can be a further source for low cost production.
On receiving the current encouraging results and geological information, the company has moved the additional drill rigs to Union Reefs to speed up the characterization of these high-grade formations. Crocodile Gold is anticipating the additional results in the forthcoming months.
These results will emphasize the extension of high-grade mineralization at Prospect deposit on the Union Mineralized Line. The holes URNRC51, 54 and 57 shows the prospective mineralization present near the north surface of Crosscourse significant pit that occurs along the Lady Alice Mineralized Line that is appropriate for open pit extraction.
