Cadan Resources has reported additional results from the resource definition drilling program at its Tagpura porphyry skarn, which is located on its Comval property in Philippines.
The company conducts this drilling in the zone, where it has previously reported a potential of 10 to 15 mt. Open pit sampling and previous drilling along with this drilling program completion will offer a record of adequate density to upgrade the potential tonnage to the measured resource.
The open pit bench sampling and the completed drilling have outlined an immense magnetite- chalcopyrite-chalcocite skarn to true widths from 65 m to 25 m and strike length of 350 m. The strike length has been expanded some 300m to the south by the surface mapping of magnetite. The preparation of the current drill location has revealed the immense magnetite–chalcopyrite-chalcocite mineralization of 100 m to the north.
Cadan has formerly cut 1.72% copper over 38 m, 0.98% copper over 30 m and 0.52% copper over 105 m at the immense magnetite–chalcopyrite-chalcocite mineralization in the Maangob skarn.
It has also mapped several other skarns and is finding new discoveries. The company is yet to decide the entire skarn potential connected with the huge tonnage porphyry copper deposits. Drilling of the huge tonnage porphyry potential is underway with the current completion of extending the hole TGD28 to 500 m.
