Quia Resources has started drilling at its San Lucas property in Colombia and has reported a ground magnetic survey and a 10 km induced polarization results.
The company has begun drilling at the La Rueda target using the first of the two rigs and it will drill the La Colina target using the second drill rig in a few days.
Yannis Banks, CEO of Quia, has stated that the company will commence drilling, which is one of the initial drilling programs and the first few drill holes will considerably enhance the understanding of the type and nature of mineralization and will cultivate a deposit model to direct additional exploration.
Quia has released the results of a ground magnetic survey and a 10 km induced polarization conducted over the north regions of the La Rueda and La Colina targets. The objective of this survey was to define drill targets accurately and to provide a good understanding of the structures in the primary targets.
The company has discovered a chargeability anomaly that is consistent along the eastern border of the thorium and uranium anomaly using the primary results and concurrent with the porphyry and gneissic units at the La Colina target that has a width up to 500 m and length up to 2400 m.
CEO of Quia has stated that all the other technical information has been combined to show the presence of potential and significant scattered mineralization system at the La Colina target.
