Avino Silver & Gold Mines has updated the progress at the Guadalupe and San Gonzalo deposits. These deposits are located at the Avino property, which is 82 km North East of Durango in Mexico.
The company is continuing the regional drilling program and has drilled around 5000 m, totaling 44 holes. These holes have discovered numerous targets namely Guadalupe, San Gonzalo, San Lucero, San Jorge, San Juventino, Yolanda and Mercedes. At present, the drill is on La Postosina’s fourth hole.
Avino has drilled additional eight holes from GPE 11-03 through GPE-11-12 at the Guadalupe as a record for the major intersections in the holes GPE 11-01 and GPE 11-02.
It has mined the stopes 2-080 and 2-200 at level 2 and has continued to produce vein material at San Gonzalo, with the grades analogous to those forecasted from the drilling program during 2007, which was defined in the NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the San Gonzalo vein.
The company has drilled the holes by means of Long year 44 core rig at the thin wall with NQ diameter. The core is cut at the company’s core storage facility, which is located at a safe mine location. Vein samples generally measuring from a few centimeters to 1.5 m are kept in plastic bags. Avino workers will ship the sealed bags to the Mexico-based Inspectorate Labs in Durango.
Gold is examined by a 30 g fire assay along with an atomic absorption finish. A multi-element inductivity combines argon plasma package by employing a four-acid digestion and tests lead, silver and zinc.
