Batero Gold Releases Latest Drilling Results from Batero-Quinchia Project

Batero Gold has announced the new results from the 56,000 m drilling campaign conducted at its Batero-Quinchia project, Colombia. Currently, the company has reported the results of 62 holes, totaling 28,761.56 m, and is releasing the reports of five holes, wherein two holes are at Matecana and three holes at La Cumbre.

Project Plan Map

The company collared LC018, LC021 and LC023 drill holes, located at La Cumbre, along a fence in the east-west direction across a distance of about 200.00 m. The results of these drill holes are the most important at La Cumbre porphyry.

Batero has cut 0.15% copper and 0.80 g/t gold over 152 m, 0.11% copper and 0.54 g/t gold over 400 m in the vertical hole LC018, 0.16% copper and 0.71g/t gold over 137 m, 0.15% copper and 0.61 g/t gold over 182 m in the angle hole LC021, 0.15% copper and 1.22 g/t gold over 118 m, 0.15% copper and 1.01 g/t gold over 212 m, 0.13% copper and 0.75 g/t gold over 352.09 m, 0.13% copper and 0.75 g/t gold over last 10.29 m in the vertical hole LC023 at the La Cumbre.

The results of two further holes drilled vertically along the east-west fence are pending and the east border and the porphyry’s overall size can be extended if the results are encouraging. LC028, an east drill hole is present at the shallow epithermal gold mineralization.

Batero drilled the QAP-DDH-036 hole in an area, where the hole QAP-DDH-012, 021 and 028 discovered fresh porphyry mineralization in the Matecana zone. The location of this platform is around 100 m to the Amarilla Structural Corridor’s eastern part. The company has not cut any mineralization in the holes QAP-DDH-036 and 028, drilled to the northwest part. The holes QAP-DDH-012 and 021 drilled at Amarilla Structural Corridor have returned gold mineralization.

The company collared the hole MT001 at around 75 m to the northern part of the hole QAP-DDH-036. This hole has encountered two gold mineralization zones.
