Netco Silver has begun the phase I program of multi-stage exploration at the Toruel project, which is a copper-gold-silver property in Argentina.
The exploration campaign will include geological mapping, rock sampling, soil sampling, trenching and prospecting. The goal of the campaign is to discover further vein systems and form priority sites to conduct further drilling programs, with the objective to define a high-grade zone to direct the high-grade ore delivery.
The company has thoroughly outlined and sampled less than 30% of the Toruel property and has discovered more than 20 vein systems, which includes the Toruel vein that has been defined for around 1900 m. Netco has formerly conducted a trench sampling program at the Toruel vein and has encountered up to 5871 g/t of silver. Early drilling at the Toruel vein has yielded considerable results from a shallow region, up to 5.34% copper and 1998 g/t silver over 6.7 m.
Netco’s CEO, Andrew Gourlay, stated that the company is continuing the organized definition and exploration of further silver mineralization at the property. The company is expecting to start an aggressive drilling during early 2012, once this work phase is competed.
