Victory Resources has reported the third hole, RDH 08, results from the phase II diamond drilling campaign conducted at the optioned La Reforma property, located towards the northeastern part of Choix in Sinaloa State.
Two mineralized intervals have been intersected in the drill hole RDH 08, wherein considerable values of copper and silver are encountered from 146.23 to 151.79 m. These mineralized intersections seem to show 200 m down dip expansion of the key La Reforma vein. The near-surface mineralized segments cut large values of lead, silver and zinc over intervals between 2.48 m and 2.98 m. These shallow segments seem to be connected with the same results as from the past drilling by Penoles. The region that is immediately surrounding the hole SCR 278, drilled by Penoles, seems to have shallow mineralization.
The ongoing drilling is continually validating the key La Reforma formation’s geological expansions. The company has inferred down dip expansion of 200 m and strike length of 500 m. It has considered this underground diamond drill program to expand the ongoing surface drill campaign and to speed up the expansion definition of the La Reforma vein system.
Penoles Industries operated the La Reforma property between 1968 and 1980. As the price of metals were low during this period, 1.8 Mt of complex ore, grading 0.63% copper, 1.90% lead, 91.62 g/t silver and 7.44% zinc, were processed in the La Reforma mine.
According to Wally Boguski, CEO and President of the company, the ongoing exploration’s key goal is outline large scale of mineral resource in order to validate a preliminary economic assessment. The phase II drilling is showing high anomalous results.
