GoldQuest Mining has declared that it will conduct a C$500,000 drilling program at the Escandalosa gold project in the Dominican Republic.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of GoldQuest, Julio Espaillat, this drilling will analyze the anomalies that were identified towards the La Escandalosa deposit’s northern and southern parts, and outlined by low magnetic, low resistivity and high chargeability signatures during the new pre-drilling geophysical program.
The company is seeking for the mineralized gold expansion at the La Escandalosa Sur, and the mineralization of Hondo Valle along the 3.4 km trend where the resource encloses a strike length of 400 m.
Recently, the company has completed a drilling program, totaling 10 holes at La Escandalosa Sur, targeting the design parameters of a planned open pit at the NI 43-101 compliant inferred mineral resource that grades 2.60 g/t gold for 4.86 Mt.
Currently, the drilling rig is present at La Escandalosa. The proposed program includes drilling between 1,500 and 2,000 m. The drilling targets are based on the comprehensive sampling and mapping, and fresh geophysics program. Zone A will be focused by the sites. The company is planning for further drill sites.
