Corvus Gold Reports Initial Drill Results from North Bullfrog Project in Nevada

Corvus Gold has declared the initial drill results from the 2012 exploration program conducted on the North Bullfrog Project close to Beatty in Nevada. The NB-12-117 hole intercepted 52 m of 0.8 g/t gold that included a higher grade intercept of 15.3 m of 2.36 g/t gold beginning at 11 m beneath the surface.

The company drilled the 117 hole at the Air Track West target, located 400 m towards the west of the Sierra Blanca resource’s boundary. Gold mineralization was encountered by this hole inside the Crater Flat Tuff unit and confirmed historical drilling in this resource extension target region.

The company expects the North Bullfrog Project to be completed by the end of February 2012. The 2012 exploration drill results will not be included in the forthcoming preliminary economic assessment of this project.

The company has completed the winter 2012 drilling program’s RC drilling phase, and has progressed to the diamond drilling phase. The RC program will evaluate the total resource footprint size to target a +30,000 m - 300 hole, Phase 2 RC drill program, which will commence in the later part of 2012.

The Sierra Blanca deposit’s west and north margins were tested with about 400 m step out holes towards the west and southern limit with 150 m step outs that intercepted gold mineralization. The northern extension at the Jolly Jane deposit was tested with 200 and 400 m step outs. The results are still pending. The Phase 2 RC drilling program will be made to extend the present oxide resource by evaluating the potentiality of the resource connected across the overall project. This drilling program will also be designed to boost the assurance of a major part of the present resource so that it can be improved to the indicated and measured categories.

On 2nd February 2012, the phase one diamond drilling program was started to evaluate higher grade feeder structures in the Yellowjacket target region in the project’s northeastern part, which returned 11.9 g/t gold over 6.1 m. The company will conduct further drilling, wherein additional metallurgical testing will prove useful in a project development decision scheduled later in 2012.
