TAC Gold Releases Update on Belleville Project Drill Program

TAC Gold,a gold exploration company based in Vancouver with a focus on gold projects in Nevada, has released the latest update on its Belleville project.

TAC Gold holds the option to acquire interests in properties located in Iowa Canyon, Bellville and Goldfields West.

In December 2011, a RC mud drilling expert was contracted to supervise the IP target drilling after extremely thick alluvium was encountered. Exclusive equipment was also used to place casing through the alluvium (gravel). Drilling at the IP target was attempted again with a mud rotary hole in January 2012. TAC Gold installed a casing of 90 ft following which a tricone bit was used in extending the hole and thereby avoid vibrations produced by a hammer bit. After 200 feet, the caving began an issue and the drill was abandoned by the team at 235 ft.

The deepest hole was logged and sent to check for probable alluvial gold through a geochemical analysis. The result of the analysis resulted in detection of 0.04 to 0.08 g/t of anomalous gold from 225 to 230 ft, 190 to 200 ft and 65 to 70 ft.

Currently, there is no other drilling work at the Bellville property which is located 60 miles from the towns of Tonopahand Hawthorne, Nevada. The Bellville property contains a total of 10 unpatented mining claims spread over 74 ac (30 ha).
