Ateba Resources has announced that it is retaining the services of Orbit Garant Drilling in order to perform diamond drill program up to 2,000 m at the company’s Larder Group property in Ontario.
The company has begun drilling at the FP Zone, wherein it will complete planned drilling of around 1,000 m. Ateba will conduct the remaining drill program at the Walsh mine region.
The drill program’s objective is to examine the continuity and levels of mineralization, found formerly, between the nearby FP zone located towards the southeast and the Walsh mine. Ateba conducted historic drilling at the Walsh Mine and previous drill program at the FP zone and the Walsh mine. This drilling program has shown the mineralized intercepts of alteration zones and auriferous quartz veins in both the regions.
The company has mapped and trenched the veins and its related alteration zones along most of the trend lies between the two regions. These exploration works have revealed favorable host rock areas, which includes epidote alteration, silicification zones and sulfide mineralization. The gathered samples from these zones have high content of gold. The associated rocks are believed to contain potential gold bearing structures. Besides the extension of the prominent gold mineralization levels along the FP trend and Walsh Mine, the drill program will focus on cutting the gold bearing structures present in these favorable host rock zones.
