Malbex Announces Results of Five Drill Holes from Rojo Grande Zone

Canadian exploration company Malbex has announced drilling results from five drill holes at the Rojo Grande Zone located at the Del Carmen Gold-Silver project in San Juan province in Argentina. Of the five holes, three holes exhibited low grade gold and silver materialisation beyond the present area of mineral resource.

The area is likely to expand further to the northwest and southwest. Hole DDHC-12-063 in particular exhibited 0.42 g/t gold and 7.7 g/t silver at 157.5 m.

According to the CEO of the company Tim Warman, the main aim of the company was to increase the size of the mineral resource at Rojo Grande. Towards this end the company is carrying out drilling of other holes namely, Cerro Martita, Brecha Limite, Cerro Amarillo and Ladera Sur. A potential porphyry hole, which was recently located at Rojo Grande Zone will also be drilled in the near future. The Del Carmen project spans an area of 151 km² and is situated south to El Indio Gold Belt. It contains two high sulphidation epithermal gold and silver alteration systems. The reserve contains 35 million ounces of gold in current reserves and past production as on date, which also includes the Pascua-Lama project and Veladero mine.
