Belo Sun Mining has reported assay results of 14 further holes drilled during the diamond drill program conducted at the Volta Grande gold project in Brazil.
The released assay results have included two holes from the Grota Seca deposit and 12 holes from the Ouro Verde deposit. These holes are drilled as a part of the 2012 program in order to upgrade and extend the calculated mineral resources of the project that forms the base for the definitive feasibility study.
The company has encountered 6.54 g/t gold over 7.27 m and 1.90 g/t gold over 44.20 m in hole VVGD-327, 7.56 g/t gold over 11.35 m and 3.57 g/t gold over 27.70 m in hole VVGD-331, 21.79 g/t gold over 8.33 m and 5.04 g/t gold over 49.50 m in hole VVGD-339, 4.50 g/t gold over 9.50 m and 2.21 g/t gold over 29.25 m in hole VGD-340.
Belo Sun has drilled 107,969 m and is anticipating the release of an update of a new mineral resource calculation.
The company has drilled 364 holes at the Volta Grande project and is waiting for the assays from 24 holes. The ongoing drill program is specifically designed to upgrade and extend the previous mineral resource calculation. Belo Sun will report additional results when they are available.
