Shamrock Enterprises Reports Drill Program Results from Fireweed Project

Shamrock Enterprises, a junior mining exploration company, has declared the assay results from its 11 diamond drill hole campaign, which was conducted at the Fireweed Property situated 80 km north of Smithers, British Columbia in the Omineca Mining District. In the West Zone section, considerable mineralization was intersected by seven drill holes.

Highlights of the drilling campaign comprise 15.6 m of 374.7 g/t silver in FW 11-3 drill hole, 15.1 m of 444.4 g/t silver in FW 11-4 drill hole, 15.3 m of 374 g/t silver in FW 11-5 drill hole, and 20.3 m of 0.2 g/t gold, 202.8 g/t silver, 3.6% zinc and 1.7% lead in FW 11-6 drill hole.

In the 2011 drilling campaign, 11 NQ-size diamond drill holes were drilled, which totaled to 1561.7 m. Two portions extending northwest-southeast, and separated by 50 m, were targeted to analyze a region denoted by prior drilling in 1988 and 1989, to include mineralization in the West Zone. Other mineral zones on the Fireweed property are yet to be tested.

Prior drilling on the Fireweed Property validated the occurrence of volcanogenic sulphide mineralization in the west zone’s vent region, which is situated about 100 m east of the two portions. Historic drilling work showed anomalous silver, zinc and lead continuing up to 1000 m east of the existing west zone target and also validated and extended the identified regions of volcanogenic sulphides to depth in the West Zone’s vent region.

The 2011 drilling program was designed to eliminate duplication of prior drill holes and at the same time increase mineralogical and structural data from the region of earlier indicated mineralization.

The 2011 drill campaign meets the recommended objectives, subsequent to the 2010 drill campaign.
