El Condor Minerals Releases Analytical Results from Horden Lake Property

El Condor Minerals has received the analytical results from a 12-hole diamond drill campaign carried out at the Horden Lake property, during the 2012 winter season.

Drilling was specifically designed to offer metallurgical samples for use in initial processing work and to examine the resource extension towards the popular mineralization and resource’s northeast and southwest portion. The company received analytical results of four holes drilled towards the northeastern part of the known resource.

Mineralized copper-nickel-precious metal occurring at Horden Lake is related to a gabbroic sill-like complex, which is dipping towards the northwest and trending towards the northeast. Dispersed and massive to semi-massive mineralization is present in the gabbro’s footwall contact zone called the Main Zone, wherein metasedimentary rocks lie beneath it. The announced resources that are obtained from the Horden Lake are predominately present in the Main Zone. Dispersed mineralization occurs in certain stages of the igneous suite, which enables near-surface, widespread, low-grade mineralization.

A 0.25% copper cutoff grade is used to estimate the intercepts, wherein other metals are not considered. Up to 3.0 m long low-grade internal intervals are integrated, while near values of copper carry the low-grade intervals. Linear, cross sections and non-deviated drill hole projections are utilized to calculate the true widths of intervals present in the Main Zone.

Currently, the company is processing the additional drilling results obtained from Horden Lake and the same will be announced when they are available.
