Northern Tiger Resources, a resource exploration company based in Canada, has announced that the company has mobilized a field crew to its 3Ace Project, located in Southeast Yukon.
The drilling program at the 3Ace Project in 2011 intersected 106.2 g/t gold over 1.0 m and 4.6 g/t gold over 35.0 m. The company’s 2012 exploration campaign will consist of 3,000 m of diamond drill program and further surface exploration, which includes mapping, trenching and sampling prospecting.
According to Northern Tiger’s President, Greg Hayes, the company is delighted to resume drilling at the same place in order to follow up the encouraging exploration results of 2011 from the property. The 2012 drill campaign is specifically designed to validate the gold-in-soil anomalies, which is to be drill tested, and to extend the mineralization at the Main zone, Greg added.
The company will begin the drill program in early June and will target primarily to extend the Main Zone down-dip and along strike. Mineralized gold at the Main zone has a drilled strike of 220 m, and is associated to a shear zone dipping sharply that has an en echelon array of vein segments. The drill will focus on examining several gold target areas located at the 3Ace property and nearby Sprogge property, which hosts wide hydrothermal alteration and mineralization trending for 3 km.
