Helio Resource has announced an update on the new drill program carried out at the Gold Kop Target.
The company has released a phase II geochemical soil sampling survey results from the Otjimbojo Licence, which is located near the Gold Kop target.
Navachab-style gold mineralization was identified during the company’s prior drill program conducted in 2011 at the Gold Kop target. The company carried out drill testing over a strike of 1.3 km and encountered mineralization styles, namely immense sulphide zones containing 4.4% copper, 9.0 g/t gold and 75 g/t silver over 7 m; high-grade narrow quartz veins grading 33 g/t gold over 1 m; high-grade metasomatic replacement bodies containing 15 g/t gold and 60 g/t silver over 2 m; and wide and low-grade gold mineralized zones in dolomitic marbles.
Helio has drilled mineralization outcrops at surface to 159 m of downhole depth. A reverse circulation drill program was carried out at the Oasis target, situated 800 m towards southwest part from the Gold Kop Target. Helio drilled 1,962 m, totaling 39 near-surface reconnaissance holes.
Helio’s soil sampling campaign conducted during January 2012 covered a 10 sq. km region nearby and over the Gold Kop target. Based on these results, the company completed two infill grids at the Gold Kop and a third grid over the Bull's Eye target, which is situated about 5 km towards northwest of the Gold Kop target.
