Midlands Minerals has provided the latest update on the activities being carried out on the Sian-Praso Gold Project. The company had commenced drilling at a depth of 5,900 m during May 2012 and has now provided an update on the issues that are outstanding in the project.
To resolve these issues, the company has entered into detailed negotiations and discussions with Sian in order to come to a neutral solution that is satisfactory to all the shareholders.
Armed youths however, have been disrupting the drilling process and are trying to gain access to the property. Due to this the drill rig has been demobilised and the drill program has been suspended until further information.
The President and CEO of Midlands Minerals, Craig Pearman has stated that the company will continue its efforts with Sian to seek a complete solution of the issues. He also expressed positive hope that the government of Ghana will provides its assistance in resolving the matter in a smooth and swift manner and help in the resumption of the drilling program very soon.
Midlands Minerals focuses on high quality gold project particularly in Tanzania and Ghana. The company’s flagship property is the Sian project in which it holds a 65% stake. It also holds gold and diamond licenses in two properties in Tanzania.
