Entourage Metals has announced that it is conducting soil sampling, prospecting and mapping surveys at the Northern Arm Properties, located in the Hemlo Greenstone Belt.
A 40 km trend is straddled in these properties and contains 155 sq. km of land package that encloses 90% of trend. This property region has secured minimal exploration, when compared to the key mineralized trend housing Hemlo Mines instead of having the same geology. The company has previously discovered many anomalous precious and base metal occurrences at the property having several styles of deposits.
Genetic and spatial link exists between porphyry intrusions and gold deposits in the Archean greenstone belts all over the globe. The porphyritic intrusions linked to these gold-bearing rocks found along this property trend display similarities to the Moose Lake Porphyry, footwall rocks of mineralized gold.
Significant values of gold were identified in many historical diamond holes drilled at these porphyries. The company intersected 3.9 g/t gold over 3 m in one hole and 37.35 g/t gold over 1.0 m in another hole in a Hemlo "look-alike" porphyry having favorable alterations. Restricted trenching and drilling has been performed targeting these occurrences.
Previous geochemical sampling within the claim group of Entourage has been restricted and erratic. A geologic prospecting, mapping and soil sampling campaign has been started to widely enclose the claim group and expand target areas on this less popular trend located in the Hemlo Greenstone Belt.
The Northern Arm Property is situated in North Ontario, and 35 km towards the northeastern part of the town of Marathon and 250 km towards the eastern-northeastern part of Thunder Bay.
