Antioquia Gold Receives Encouraging Results from Phase I Program at Guayabito Deposit

Antioquia Gold has announced that assays for the final four holes out of thirteen have been obtained from the Guayabito deposit.

Guayabito Deposit - Plan View. Year 2011 & 2012 Strike Length Interpretations

These holes have been drilled during the phase I program spanning 5,069 m carried out at the deposit. The positive results obtained reiterate the considerable dimensional increase along strike and to depth of the Guayabito deposit.

The company intersected 84.0 g/t gold over 0.5 m, 53.1 g/t gold over 1.0 m and 16.0 g/t gold over 3.3 m from one hole; and 129.8 g/t gold over 0.3 m and 31.2 g/t gold over 1.3 m in another hole.

Antioquia started the phase I program on 26 April 2012 and the program specifically targeted the Guayabito deposit and is a part of a proposed phase III 20,000 m diamond drill campaign conducted at the flagship Cisneros project located in Colombia.

The campaign leads to the extension of the popular structures of mineralization along strike to about 300 m and has validated the continuity to approximately 500 m depth with all structures remaining exposed to depth and along strike. The company also intersected many fresh mineralized structures along with positive values of gold.

The phase II campaign has been completed at the Papi/Ivana target and is being continued at the Guaico target. It includes drilling of about 5,000 m divided between the Papi/Ivana and Guaico target areas. The company is waiting for the laboratory results and will follow the resultant review and analysis by the geology team.

The local exploration campaign is continuing at the other 90% of the Cisneros property, whereas exploration has discovered many regional target areas. Soil geochemical profiles, prospecting and geological mapping are included in the field work. The regional program at the Cisneros property is a significant part of the company’s future, because it is specifically designed to validate the prospective and the presence of several gold deposits at the property.
