Blue Gold Mining, a gold growth firm, has declared that it has encountered a strong, extensive and deeply-rooted alteration system from the initial four holes drilled during the 2012 core campaign conducted at the Ball Creek Project, located in Northwest British Columbia.
BALL CREEK PROPERTY MAIN ZONE
The company has encountered copper and gold porphyry-style mineralization for up to 650 m of depth which stays exposed in every direction. It is waiting for the results from the remaining six holes.
The Main zone is located in the central part of the Ball Creek property accompanied with surface geochemistry enclosing an area, whose length and breadth are more than 1,400 m and up to 500 m, respectively. The 2012 exploration campaign drilled nine holes, totaling 3,505 m, in the Main zone.
The company has intersected 0.26% copper and 0.70 g/t gold over 36.3 m, 0.13% copper and 0.20 g/t gold over 30.0 m, and 0.11% copper and 0.28 g/t gold over 454.9 m in hole BC12-47; 0.09% copper and 0.85 g/t gold over 44.2 m, and 0.08% copper and 0.40 g/t gold over 293.6 m in hole BC12-48 drilled in the Main zone’s south end. It has encountered 0.30% copper and 0.48 g/t gold over 47.8 m, and 0.19% copper and 0.29 g/t gold over 118.8 m in hole BC12-49; 0.11% copper and 0.18 g/t gold over 180.7 m in hole BC12-51 drilled in the Main zone’s north end.
Ball Creek may be considered as the next project among huge gold-copper porphyry deposit series that defines the northern BC. The project is suitable for expansion. The comprehensive campaign results are being combined into detailed exploration and geological models.
