Typhoon Exploration Inc. (the «society») is pleased to announce that the publication of the NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Fayolle Property is now available on Sedar at www.sedar.com and on our website at www.typhoonexploration.com.
During the fall of 2013 and summer 2014, prospection, channel sampling, MMI soil survey and magnetometric survey were carried out on the Fayolle property. A total of 175 samples from the prospection, 300 channel samples, 1035 soil samples and 231 km of magnetometric survey were completed. In this work, several significant gold values were obtained on the Cinco showing (4.08 g/t Au and 2.82 g/t Au (rock sample), 0.8 g/t Au over 13.7 meters (channel)) and Wang area (2.2 g/t Au (rock sample)).
During the winter of 2014, a drilling program totaling 4,202 meters was conducted and supervised by Hecla Quebec Inc. in the eastern part of the Fayolle deposit and on the Mc Donald and Cinco showings. The results of drill holes realized in these three areas show similar lithologies. This is sometimes altered and brecciated komatiitic flows with lamprophyre dykes and altered intermediate intrusions. Some sedimentary units were intersected between komatiitic lavas. In the area of ΓÇïΓÇïthe Fayolle deposit, the best value obtained was 1.6 g/t Au over 3.1 meters, including 3.6 g/t Au over 1.1 meter in drill hole FAX-14-65. In the area of ΓÇïΓÇïthe Mc Donald showing, a value of 0.8 g/t Au over 0.9 meter was obtained in drill hole FAX-14-75. Finally, in the area of the new discovery, the Cinco showing, located 2 km east of the Fayolle deposit, the best values ΓÇïΓÇïwere 2.6 g/t Au over 8.2 meters, 2.5 g/t Au over 6.2 meters, 16.5 g/t Au 0.8 meter and 2.4 g/t Au over 3.0 meters in drill holes FAX-14-71 and FAX-14-72 respectfully.
The NI 43-101 Technical Report summarizes all the past exploration efforts that were completed on the Fayolle Property up to now and includes future exploration work recommendations.
