Hollywood May Tell Story of Trapped Chilean Miners

The successful rescue of 33 miners who were trapped underground for nearly two months in Chile is likely to be made into a Hollywood movie.

American actor, Brad Pitt and his studio is currently in talks for the film rights to the story. The Plan B Entertainment Company is making a multimillion dollar offer for the story and has also offered some of the miners a role in the movie.

Plan B Entertainment Company has already produced films such as The Time Traveller's Wife, Kick Ass, and Eat, Pray, Love. Attorney Edgardo Reinoso is representing the miners in the deal. He confirmed that the studio had offered a multi-million dollar deal to the miners for the movie rights to their story.

In order for the funds to be distributed equally among all the men the miners want to set up a holding company that will manage any proceeds from their miraculous story. They wish to create the company before closing any deal about their improbable story as per their lawyer.

They have also been besieged with requests for interviews and commercial deals as per El Mercurio to the tune of 10 propositions a day. The dramatic rescue gained them global attention and turned a harrowing experience into a potentially lucrative one.
