Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (“Aya” or the “Corporation”) declared the completion of 50 % of its airborne MobileMT geophysical survey and has obtained rights to six exploration permits for its Boumadine Project in the Kingdom of Morocco. With this addition, the Boumadine exploration portfolio now encompasses 141.4 square kilometers (“km2”).
Highlights From Boumadine
- Obtained six exploration permits in the Boumadine area, totaling 58 km2
- Completed 50 % of an aerial MobileMT geophysical survey covering 6,515 linear km.
- Drilled 11,130 m of DDH YTD as part of a vigorous exploration program covering 120,000 m.
- Received preliminary regional hyperspectral data; work on the interpretation of the minerals and structure is well advanced.
We are excited to consolidate further and increase our footprint by 70 %, as our largest annual drill program ever at Boumadine continues to exceed expectations and indicate significant potential. Our confidence continues to grow with additional drill results, and we expect our geophysics, hyperspectral, and ground mapping to generate valuable data to define quality drill targets on the permits.

Boumadine Project
The total area of Boumadine is now 141.4 km2 with the addition of the six new exploration permits. In what it considers one of Morocco’s most promising and unexplored regions, the Corporation has more than quadrupled its surface footprint from its original mining permit year. As it gains a deeper comprehension of the local geology, structure, and mineralization models, the Corporation will keep actively adding exploration permits.
As part of the 120,000 m drill exploration program, three more surface rigs are scheduled to be added in the upcoming weeks, in addition to the four DDH rigs that are currently turning at Boumadine. Targets produced by exploration work in 2023 and 2022, such as drilling, the hyperspectral survey, detailed airborne geophysics (magnetics and electromagnetics), detailed mapping, and prospecting, will be tested by the Corporation.
Based on the mapping and prospecting data, the 2024 program will test strike extensions of the Boumadine Main Trend, the N030 and N70 structures, the Tizi Zone, and other exploration targets.
On the permits obtained in 2023, a surface mapping and prospecting campaign is already underway. Apart from a 90-grab sampling program, a continuous mapping campaign can identify multiple new mineralized structures that require additional investigation.
Technical Information
Aya has instituted a rigorous quality control program to adhere to the highest standards in sampling and analysis of drill core and surface samples. Samples were securely delivered in sealed bags to the Afrilab mechanical preparation unit at Boumadine, where prepared pulps were then transported for analysis to the Afrilab laboratory in Marrakech.
To ensure accuracy, standards of various grades and blanks were inserted every 25 samples, in addition to the standards, blanks, and pulp duplicates inserted by Afrilab.
