Abcourt Mines Initiates Drilling Campaign at Flordin Property

Abcourt Mines Inc. has announced the initiation of a drilling campaign on the Flordin Property. This first-phase program will cover a minimum of 3000 meters (m) and target two primary zones: the Cartwright sector and the Flordin sector.

Summary of Drilling Work (Phase 1):

The upcoming drilling program will involve over 1000 m of short-hole drilling directly beneath the 2024 stripping of the Cartwright Zone. This work aims to validate, at depth, the results from Channels No. 6, No. 8, and No. 11, previously reported in the October 24, 2024 press release. Concurrently, a neighboring property owned by OMining is conducting a drilling campaign near the boundaries of our property (refer to Figures 2-3 for details).

  • Channel 6: 22.7 g/t gold over 7 m, including 162 g/t gold over 0.5 m; Metal Factor (grade × thickness): 159
  • Channel 8: 5.4 g/t gold over 10 m, including 38 g/t gold over 0.5 m; Metal Factor: 54
  • Channel 11: 10.4 g/t gold over 12 m, including 50 g/t gold over 0.5 m; Metal Factor: 124

Following that, planned drilling efforts will include over 2000 m of deep drilling in and around the South Zone of the Flordin deposit. This region, originally discovered by Cambior in 1988, has not been the focus of any substantial follow-up exploration. The area has yielded notable gold intersections, such as hole S158, which recorded 3 g/t gold over 16 m.

According to Perrier’s drill logs (GM 46856), the style of mineralization observed appears to align with that identified at the Cartwright stripping. Specifically, high-grade gold mineralization is linked to pyrite bands within zones altered by hematite-silica-carbonate. Deep drilling in this area aims to validate the hypothesis that this high-grade gold mineralization extends continuously from the Flordin deposit to the Cartwright area, potentially spanning approximately 2 kilometers.

This first phase of drilling work of a minimum of 3,000 m, which has already been funded, is only the beginning of our ambitious development plan for our Flordin project. If we confirm the similarities of the mineralization observed in the Cartwright and Flordin areas, we will have a high-grade gold corridor of more than 2 kilometres to test and define to link the mineralized zones together and thus increase the number of ounces of gold on our Flordin property.
