The company is now in the process of soliciting bids from drilling contractors for this initiative.
- Panuco Deposit: High-grade silver results from extensive drilling and trench work at Panuco include 1.25 m at 1440 g per ton silver equivalent (1,423.2 g per ton silver and 0.23 g per ton gold) and 1.23 m at 750 g per ton silver equivalent (723 g per ton silver and 0.36 g per ton gold). The company released a revised mineral resource estimate at Panuco on May 30, 2023. It was 3.41 million tons at 187 g per ton silver equivalent (173 g per ton silver and 0.18 g per ton gold), or 20.5 million ounces of silver equivalent (19 million ounces of silver and 19,200 ounces of gold). The Panuco deposit’s vein system is still open in all directions.
- El Cristo Vein System: Numerous vein outcrops and significant historical workings characterize El Cristo, the northwest extension of the well-known Veta Grande vein. 22 of the 28 holes in the company's first 28-scout-drill-hole program discovered base metal and silver mineralization. With a strike length of more than 3 km, the company still has many targets to drill.
In addition to the primary deposits, Zacatecas Silver has pinpointed two other high-priority exploration targets:
- San Gill Breccia Zone: This zone, located in the southern section of the main Zacatecas concessions, about 2 km southwest of the Veta Grande vein, is characterized by severe brecciation and quartz veining with copious iron oxides following sulfides.
- Muleros Zone: This vein system, located south of Panuco and north of El Cristo, has a 3 km strike length and consists of three primary veins: the South Vein, the North Vein, and the El Rosario vein.
CEO Comments
As we focus on advancing our silver assets, our technical team has designed a program aimed at expanding the current resource while following up on multiple high-grade intercepts drilled outside the known resource area. This is a highly prospective project with significant expansion potential, located in a top-tier silver mining jurisdiction.
