Cartier Resources Begins Diamond Drilling at Dollier Property, Quebec

Cartier Resources starts a diamond drill program on Dollier property, south of the town of Chibougamau in north western Quebec.

The company will focus drilling on the main gold zone identified through trenching where it cut 9.17 g/t gold over 1.1 m at the wider zone, 3.85 g/t gold over 3.2 m and 7.94 g/t gold over 1.0 m.

The phase I drilling includes 2,500 meters, targeting a majority of holes directly under the known surface mineralization. The remaining program will analyze four zones additionally, which are parallel to the main gold zone. The phase I drilling results are assayed by phase II drilling of 1,500 meters.

The surface trenching explores the occurrence of the main gold zone. Detail channel sampling shows high-grade gold that is related to 6.0-meter of sulphide-bearing and porphyritic felsic horizons in mafic volcanics. New Induced Polarization (IP) survey has enclosed a kilometer section of mineralized trend. Ten well-known anomalies that are similar to the main gold zone are identified through an IP survey. These anomalies along with drilling under the main gold zone will be analyzed.
