Indicator Minerals has begun a 5,000m core drilling campaign at its Mohave Copper Project, which is situated in north-western Arizona.
This drilling is a primary and complete program at the copper project and it provides the opportunity for the company to analyze the amount of copper, molybdenum and silver mineralization on the project. Also, the company is expecting to validate the potential of the target.
Indicator will perform the drilling program in two phases. Now, the company is conducting the Phase I drilling and has planned to examine the convincing targets, which are discovered by widespread rock and soil sampling, Induced Polarization (IP) surveys and structural, geographical and alteration mapping. The size of the mineralization will be examined over an extensive area at the project with 15 to 20 drill holes intended between depths of 300m and 500m. After receiving the Phase I drilling results, the company will begin the Phase II drilling and is planned to start by the Q3/Q4 of 2011.
The Mohave Project is significant because of the copper porphyry sediments holding major silver and molybdenum potential. Occurrence of widespread copper mineralization over the project was found during exploration. The geology and alteration covering of this project is similar to the Bagdad Copper Porphyry Mine.
