Bayfield Ventures has expanded its Rainy River drilling by a further 50,000 metres at Rainy River properties in north-western Ontario. Burns Block of the Company is located close to the east and on strike to Rainy River’s gold project.
The company began 50,000 metre drilling in May 2010 and has completed nearly 33,000 metres. Recently, the company increased further $5.5 million and is sponsored with $11 million to plan for 100,000 metres drilling. The third diamond drill rig contracted by Bayfield will be moved to Burns Block in early May.
Bayfield will continue to concentrate on two explorations at Burns project that contains high-grade zone definition in the property’s western and eastern side. The company has intersected 31.7 g/t gold over 3m in RR10-15, 36 g/t gold over 10m in hole RR10-18 and 211.07 g/t silver over 3m in RR11-14 at new discovery zone. Bayfield yields encouraging results from this drilling. The drilling on Burns Block focuses on the property’s west section having 200 metres and the remaining 600 metres of highly potential strike is to be explored.
Moreover, Bayfield has planned to drill a sequence of holes at the huge and unknown "C" Block property having gold-silver deposits. It will conduct drilling in winter 2011 and 2012.
