Soltera Mining has reported the exciting results from a reconnaissance hardrock gold sampling program performed in April 2011 at El Torno.
The company has started to concentrate on the two main gold areas at El Torno, following the former eluvial gold sampling program results. The two targets were the huge gold-bearing vein structures that traverse the license region and prospective open-pit regions having scattered gold. The 2008 geochemical studies have defined both the targets and the company selected the vein structure to begin the work.
The initial phase was a reconnaissance bedrock survey and mineralization of vein in a short stretch of the key vein structure. Soltera has gathered 44 samples from the old trenches or rock projections. The samples having a weight between 2 kg and 2.5 kg were sent for a fire assay.
Soltera has intersected 376 g/t gold over 1.5 meters, 20.9 g/t gold, 14.95 g/t gold over one meter. Majority of the gold samples were taken from the western part of the main vein and also from smaller vein systems in the northwest.
This recent survey has verified the occurrence of mineralized gold in a zone contiguous to the main vein system. This zone is at least 6 meters broad in the tested area. These results validate the significance of the geochemical anomalies.
Currently, Soltera is planning a mapping and sampling program to cover the reconnaissance survey for further geophysical surveys and drilling programs over the main targets.
