Platinex has drilled two holes to examine the down extension of the mineralization below the mine works and intersected 12.55 g/t gold over 0.85 m at Herrick deposit.
The company has cut 4.99 g/t gold over 3.1 m in hole HP11-65 in the Central Zone, including 12.55 g/t gold over 0.85 m. Holes HP10-44, HP11-65 are drilled in a broader mineralized alteration zone, which encounters 1.47 g/t gold over 12.2 m and this shows to be a broader and distinct zone.
Also, the company has intersected 6.94 g/t gold over 0.85 m including 2.86 g/t gold over 2.95 m in hole HP11-64. This area is located in 90 m core length of mineralized zone. Platinex has drilled the third hole to analyze the south strike expansion, which is around 25 m south of the Herrick deposit. It has also cut 1.785 g/t gold over 0.60 m in HP11-66.
Platinex has encountered mineralization continuity at Herrick deposit and identifies broader and richer deposit core that lies steeply to the south below the workings. The thicker alteration zones in holes 9, 33, 44 and 65 show strong gold mineralization and offers potential target for the next drilling.
Now, Platinex has scheduled to trace the multiple, high gold sources in till results at the property. It expects that the Caswell and Herrick formations contain gold sources. Additional drilling on the Caswell prospect and the Herrick deposit will begin in the summer.
Laframboise Drilling has performed the present drilling program. ALS Minerals has completed the assay sampling for this latest drilling.
