Extorre Gold Mines continues to return high-grade gold-silver results from drilling at the Zoe discovery in Cerro Moro, Argentina.
The company has cut 2,419 g/t silver, 15.2 g/t gold over 4.15 m in MD1220. Moreover, it has intersected 3,135 g/t silver, 63.5 g/t gold over 0.90 m in MD1234 and 4,023 g/t silver, 80.4 g/t gold over 0.90 m in MD1253.
Currently, 34 diamond drill holes outline the Zoe discovery over the strike length of around 1.5 km. The trend of one km displays extremely atypical to high grade gold-silver mineralization outside the central, bonanza grade zone. So far, the drilling conducted at the central zone has encountered major mineralization to a depth of 240 m vertically.
The manager of Extorre's Cerro Moro project, Fernando Chacon has stated that the shallow drill holes are stepping out at an increase of 160 m to spot and orientate the Zoe discovery. Extorre has identified the near surface low-grade mineralization similar to the Escondida and Martina Far West zones in the west of Zoe. Thus, Extorre will commence step back drilling to analyze high-grade mineralization at depth. Also, he commented that as the deeper drilling is slower, two drill rigs may be mobilized. This is a tentative plan for mid-June.
Extorre has finished drilling 34 holes at Zoe, wherein four have produced insignificant results, 22 have released results publicly and eight are yet to be assayed.
